Men's Raglan Pullover Sweater
Translated

new but seasoned knitterâwhy do I say that? I havenât touched knitting needles in over ten years. Back then, I used to knit a few sweaters for myself, but once I had kids, I stuck to making childrenâs clothes instead, since adult sweaters seemed time-consuming and labor-intensive compared to quickly finishing little onesâ garments. As my children grew up, I gradually stopped knitting altogether. Now, after so many years, Iâve picked up knitting again and discovered how beautiful todayâs yarns areâsoft against the skin, pleasant to the touch, with diverse stitch patterns and increasingly varied styles. Suddenly, I feel like a complete beginner, with so much to learn. So Iâve been watching online videos and checking out posts from fellow knitters; every design looks absolutely gorgeousâIâve already planted an entire meadow of inspiration haha...
Well then, letâs get started! I ordered some yarn online and decided to knit a sweater for my husbandâa âclosing-the-loopsâ project (any leftover yarn requests welcome!). I designed the pattern myself by combining elements I love, and hereâs my first post:
For the neckline, I cast on stitches and knitted a machine-knit collar using double ribbing, then picked up stitches along the collar edge to continue downward into the main body pattern.
Overall pattern:
To avoid running out of yarn, I kept the sides plain stockinette stitch. In the end, there was only a tiny bit of yarn left at the very bottom.
It turned out pretty well when worn, though it got too warm during testing, so I took it off right away. No real-life photos yetâwill take more next time {}{}
