The cable pattern uses the stitch sequence “2, 9, 2, 9, 2,” repeated eight times, with half a cable group—“2, 9, 2”—at each edge. I knitted it in two pieces, with 52 plain-stitch rows in the center, totaling 306 stitches, and then decreased to 98 stitches for the neckline. The decreases were worked as follows: 8–8–21; 6–8–4.
