Translated

t Heat—Early Summer
In the sixth month of Great Heat,
As the third phase of Great Heat approaches autumn,
The forest bell signals summer's end.
The osmanthus moon opens at midnight,
Fireflies light up the empty sky.
Water chestnuts invite scholars to gather,
Reeds and cattails grow along the inkwell’s edge.
The crimson silk curtain is rolled up high,
Classics and histories await the breeze.
I dared to finish this piece on a day of Great Heat, after five days of work.
Once again, I’m grateful to Teacher Purple Perfume Grass for her original pattern diagrams and prompt answers—thanks to them, my beautiful garment came to life.
