ing the essence of handcrafting, leave behind the bustling city—Lian’nan Millennium Yao Village is just the place where you can set down your fatigue, relieve stress, and simply let your mind wander. Rumor has it this village truly boasts a thousand-year history and is considered China’s first Yao ethnic village. From the foot of the mountain to the summit, there are roughly 300 meters in elevation; according to the guesthouse owner, there are about 288 stone steps—not particularly steep, nor an especially large village. However, when staying here, be sure to pack light—otherwise lugging around heavy bags will quickly become exhausting. You’ll find quaint stone-paved stairways, old-fashioned buildings lining both sides, and charming guesthouses. Gazing into the distance at the rolling mountains, one realizes that the most beautiful scenery often lies "over there"—but perhaps we, trapped within these very mountains, fail to notice the beauty right before our eyes? Don’t overlook that distant expanse of starry night skies, cloud seas, and distant mountain vistas.
